This is a new club. It isn’t something that you inherited from your parents. It’s very likely you have made the jump from another A-League side or you’re new to the sport all together.
Share your Western United story below. Why are you here?

I’m here because myself and my family have a chance to be apart of history and support the green and black in our own back yard pretty much! Nothing quiet as exciting as watching a club form and grow into great potential

Been in Australia just under 3 years now, from Scotland, and I miss going to watch soccer (football) and it’s a pretty new club so makes sense to start following a new team. Well to me anyways. Looking forward to getting up to the matches.

I have been in Australia for about 15 years. I love football and have wanted to a team to go and watch regularly. I have tried both Victory and City but haven't really felt it. Also traipsing into Melbourne from Geelong is too much like hard work to do too often. I like the feeling I get from Western United and it is fascinating to get in and support a brand new team. Brighton my English team were given to me by dad and i am a firm believer in supporting your local team. So here I am ready to go, with hopefully at least two of my kids onboard also. C'mon United (My dislike of Man U means that this is going to take some getting used to

Hopefully you get amongst the active support some real excited stuff coming out of there. Going a bit of topic but my beloved Leeds are about to sign Ben white from Brighton what’s your thoughts on white ?

As far as i know he hasn't played a first team game (maybe a cup game I missed) but I know he is well thought of. We have invested heavily in the Academy at Brighton and we are hoping that it starts to bear fruit soon. Ben White is one of the current crop we are keeping an eye on. I will be following with interest how he goes at Leeds, what a brilliant place to go and get experience under Bielsa and in front of the Elland Road crowd. Hopefully he can get you back up. I
To be honest, I am not sure about the Active support. I have been a member of one of the facebook groups for a while now but my kids are on the autism spectrum and I am not sure how they will go with the noise. It may be overwhelming for them so I am going to tread a little carefully. I can't wait to get involved though and maybe when on my own i can get a bit noiser.

That’s quality to know mate, I’m looking forward to the lad getting onboard I believe he has passed his medical and will be announced England’s Monday Bielsa will honestly turn that lad into something special, Phillips at Leeds was an absolute no body and Bielsa has turned him into a 30m+ players. That man is honestly magic could see white coming through the ranks at Brighton in a few seasons time, from what I’ve seen on Facebook this morning he looked quality for Newport. So hope we get ourself a good lad for the season. That’s a fair reason mate just being at the games supporting the lads and getting the little ones onboard is the main thing. So far the club is really family and community based and everyone is welcomed! Can’t wait for our new home to be built and really start making some history for the club! Not long now though mate have a few practices matches coming up in the next month and a bit! So looking forward to catching up with everyone and watching the lads having a red hot crack on the pitch!

Moved to Melbourne (Altona) from England just over 6 years ago. Been a Chelsea fan my whole life, (my dad was so I didn't have a choice) and just grew up adoring the sport and this love has never gone away. When I moved here I tried to get into the A-League (Victory) but never really connected. I was (and still am) following Chelsea religiously, had gotten into the Western Bulldogs as my wife is a fan but never grew a passion for Victory. When I heard about Western United I got very excited. This was a team that is local and does not yet have any history. With Victory it didn't feel natural because I didn't understand the culture or history of the club. With Chelsea it was inherent, I was born into it and spend much of my adolescence learning about them. WUFC history is before us, I can get in from the start and follow a brand new local club and be apart of something special. Also making friends and being a part of the community is huge for me, being an expat and not having too many friends out here, meeting fellow supporters during the games is something I'm hoping for.

I never liked Victory from day one; however, I watched most A-League games as a neutral for the first 3 or 4 years of the league. When Melbourne Heart came along I jumped on board, when CFG transformed Heart into Manchester-lite I lost any connection to that club.
I spent my early teenage years in Werribee, so Western United makes sense. Also, the prospect of having a club-owned boutique stadium is amazing.

Never followed victory but when heart came in I jumped on board! Followed them every game and still when they changed to city.
I swapped when they left fornarolli out even when when he was fit! How could a club leave the best striker in the league at that point sitting in the stands watching as the club was struggling to score goals. That really pissed me off as a supporter.
So I signed on as a United member this season and was very impressed to see the ceo at the pub last week talking to us supporters.
Looking forward to cheering the lads on with you all
