The big promise from the WMG was the ability to fund and build our own stadium in Tarneit. Club really needs to put out some actual news confirming this is going ahead. Something like council approvals or at least a new round of concept art.
If this happens though, it will be unlike anything in Australian sport.

What’s the current status with the ownership? There was a lot of noise about certain owners leaving and new ones coming in.
There was also a fair bit of insinuation regarding the possibility that the whole club and stadium venture was about securing a cheap lot of land so that the owners could develop the surrounding land. The logic being that the council would essentially hand over the land for nothing and the stadium and infrastructure that the state government would then be forced to build would all add value to the development. Flip the whole thing for a profit.
I have absolutely no problem with this provided the club is treated with respect and properly funded, but I do wonder if the money for the project is still there if the ownership has changed hands.

As far as I'm aware aziz Kheir is the owner of WU, there was word that Birmingham's owner was gonn invest into the club but havnt heard a thing about that for a long long time.
